Letra "m"

Hola,

Solid Shapes

Hello everybody,

Last week we worked with solid shapes and my students found out that there are a lot of solid shapes in common objects around the classroom, like: the lunchboxes, the balloons, the clay containers, the toy box, and many more things.

These are the solid shapes that my students have learnt:

At the end of class my students made their own party hat, and guess what? It has the shape of a CONE!

Here is a picture of all the Anteaters wearing their party hat!

If you want, you can try to make this solid shapes at home:

Have fun!

ORT BOOK: “The Mud Pie”.

Hello everybody,

This week my students have read a new ORT book “The Mud Pie”. This story is about Kipper doing a mud pie made of sand and water.

This time, my students had the chance to make their own mud pie. They had so much fun doing shapes and funny faces on their "mud pie". Here are some pictures.

I’m uploading the book, for you to read at home, and practice the vocabulary.

Tiptoe around the circle. [Walk quietly on your toes and whisper.]
Tiptoe around the circle.
Tiptoe tiptoe.
We all fall down. [Everybody falls to the ground, and stays there for the next verse.]

I'm so sleepy! [Yawn and stretch.]
Sleepy sleepy sleepy. [Pretend to be falling asleep.]
I'm so sleepy.
Wake up, everybody! [Pretend to wake up, stretch and stand up.]

Come on, we're going to hop!
Hop around the circle. [Hop.]
Hop around the circle.
Hopping hopping.
We all fall down. [Everybody falls to the ground.]

[Everybody stands up.]
Let's twirl!

Cuento: Formato Poster

claveles y rosas me gustan disfrutar.
Por eso amigo mío cuando quieras venir,
contigo estas cosas las voy a compartir.

Llego La Primavera
Autor: Delia Arjona

Está de fiesta el planeta,
y las plantas se preparan,
para dar la bienvenida a
¡La primavera soñada!

Ya los jazmines despiertan
su néctar y sus aromas,
¡Vestidas están de fiesta,
las rosas y las magnolias!

Los almendros dan color
a las ramas ya floridas,
¡Las clavelinas y helechos,
preparan la bienvenida!

La primavera que viene,
a florecer a los nidos,
¡Todas las plantas ya crecen,
los jardines florecidos!

Buena suerte,

What time is it?

Hello everybody,

My students are learning how to tell the time. And it is necesary to to recognise the part of a clock:

- The number from 1 to 12.
- The 2 hands: 1 short hand is the hour hand and shows the hour of the day by pointing to it. The long hand is the minute hand and points to show the passing of the minutes.

This video is quite usefull, because is the exactly the way we are teaching how to tell the time:

And now you can make your own clock:

I love you in the morning. (Make a big circle over your head with your arms, like the sun. Bend over to one side.)

And in the afternoon. (Stand up straight with your arms above you.)

And underneath the moon. (Release your arms and make another big circle, like the moon, over your head.)
